January

Thanks to everyone who turned out for the run to
Athelhampton House in January. It was a very
impressive display in front of the House and made for
some lovely photos. We had 17 Lotuses in total in “all
of the colours and all of the sizes”.

May

In May we attended Brands Hatch for their Classic Festival on Sunday 23rd May 2004.
This was one of the biggest Motor Sport Events on the Brands Hatch calendar attracting
50,000 spectators.

This year was even more special as they were also celebrating 50 years of Team Lotus
featuring track appearances by 6 Lotus F1 cars including the Type 79 driven by Mario Andretti
to win the 1978 World F1 Drivers Championship.
There was display of classic cars too………..and as the track was celebrating 50 years of
F1 then naturally Lotus cars had a good display of classic Lotus cars on the south bank.
The Club Lotus car part of the event was organised by Cambridgeshire Club Lotus Region, and
we were invited to a joint display of our fine cars together with them.

December

Our Treasure Hunt in December was a huge success with the weather also playing its part.
Our intrepid hunters were taken to Brockenhurst and Beaulieu for the afternoons adventure
finishing up at the Bramble Hill Hotel for tea and cake and prizegiving.

The prizes were given as follows.
1st Tony and Mandy who couldn’t resist the teddy for Sofia
2nd Simon and Carole . Simon couldn’t resist the brandy :)
3rd Terry and Jackie had the cut glass bowl for Terrys nuts !!! Christmas nuts I presume
Well done to you all . The results were all very close.
